Our Grid

We could talk and talk and talk to you’re blue in the face about saving energy. The facts are we need to upgrade our power grid. It’s so old it’s pathetic. When building the energy grid, the electric company made our power lines only last 50 years, and they’ve been up for 80 years.

So that being said, we need to update our control of the grid. That would be it. As the temperature of our atmosphere gets hotter and hotter, it puts more strain on the power grid. Heat and electricity do not mix.

As the lines build up, the heat causes them to break down, which again causes blackouts as the outside temperatures rise. We are using more AC units and fans. Therefore, it causes a strain on the overload energy grid, which causes blackouts.

It would take trillions of dollars for us to thoroughly repair our energy grid and revamp it. To motorize it to make it where it can withstand growth.

As we grow in population, it means more energy grids, and we put these in, but we do not update the primary grid. The main grid needs to be upgraded too.

It can not withstand the constant growth of the population. Growth means new offices, buildings, and houses we must build because of population growth.

Energy Grid Stress

LEDs are a big part of reducing the strain on the us power grid because it uses less electricity to run it like this. Less electricity means not so much stress on the  grid. Along with solar and wind, but we have the resources and fund to do the more environmental solutions.

Cost of Technology

We talk about global warming and reducing energy use. Still, we need to talk about the third country world countries that cannot afford to upgrade their energy grids or make them more energy-efficient.

They still use the old nuclear power source to power their electricity which we all know is not the best way to do this. Solar is entirely out of the question because they cannot afford the technology. Wind only works best in certain areas, and the cost is more than solar.

Helping Others

So we will have to help the Third World countries lower the missions we put out for CO2 reduction. Only then can we reduce the electric grid used and global warming.

You cannot just sweep a corner and call the whole floor clean. In the same way, we have to reduce our carbon footprint and use natural resources to help other countries do this. Still, again, nobody wants to help because it is costly.

If we clean up our atmosphere here in the United States and no one else does, we are not accomplishing anything. We had to get everybody on board, and we needed to make a cost-efficient for this to be done.

In Short

In short, we all could go back to the 1800s when life was much more complex and didn’t have power grids, cars, trains, or boats that ran on fuel. There wasn’t a much easier time regarding emissions that harmed our world, but who wants to return to the horse and buggy days. So to prevent us from going back to the Stone Age, we need to do more on climate change. We need to do more and help other countries achieve the same goal we set for ourselves.
